Dan founded Windermere Insurance Group in 2012 and currently serves as Managing Partner and CEO. Windermere is a highly focused, client-oriented insurance brokerage firm geared to middle market businesses and higher net worth families. Windermere has enjoyed significant growth and expansion since its inception by implementing a carefully designed business plan supported by the best talent in the industry.

In addition to leading the firm, Dan specializes in the placement and service of midsize to large commercial risks in multiple industry segments with a heavy emphasis on construction and commercial real estate. His expertise includes due diligence, contract review and risk management solutions, in addition to the placement and service of insurance contracts.

After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1985 with a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance, he joined his family firm, Charles H. Litaker, Inc. where he served as President and CEO prior to forming Windermere.
